Marrakech never fails to excite
Marrakech overflows with art and culture and has been inspiring travelers and artists for decades. From Yves Saint Laurent to Winston Churchill, Madonna to Mick Jagger, Marrakech has captivated great icons inspired by its magical spirit as well as its sweet, beautiful life.
The pink city wakes up as the sun rises with the soft call to prayer from the minarets rumbling down the old alleys. After the Medina begins to slowly awaken, the perfume of orange blossom and clean clothes begins to flood the alleys of the medina, bread traditional ovens light the fire to bake the daily fresh bread, fruit and vegetable stalls are prepared and filled for the market of the day, the souk begins to come to life and the first berber rugs are already visible in stalls and small ateliers, motorcycles, cars and donkeys mingle with children who go to school and travelers like Paula and Alberto, an adventurous couple who chose to celebrate love and its 10th anniversary in the most romantic place in the world, Marrakech.
The charming engagement session I’m sharing today is so unique. They distill love and complicity and it was a pleasure to be able to capture their love story in Morocco. Paula y Alberto flew from Spain to create new memories together and celebrate their wedding anniversary in a breathtaking scenery. The laid-back atmosphere and bohemian and eclectic interiors of Riad Yasmine, where the shoot took place, were the perfect secret and hidden gem for the couple.

En Marrakech se respira belleza y calma y ha sido lugar y oasis de inspiración para artistas y viajeros durante décadas. Yves Saint Laurent, Winston Churchill, Mick Jagger o Madonna han sido cautivados por la magia y el espíritu de la medina rosa.
Marrakech se despierta al amanecer con el canto de la llamada al rezo que se cuela desde los minaretes hasta los callejones rosas de la ciudad vieja. Después la vieja ciudad comienza a despertar, el perfume a flor de azahar y a ropa limpia comienza a inundar los callejones de la medina, los hornos de pan encienden el fuego para hornear el pan del día, los puestos de fruta y verdura se preparan para el mercado del día, el zoco comienza a tomar vida y las primeras alfombras ya lucen en puestos y pequeños atelier, motos, carros y burros se mezclan con los niños que van al colegio y los viajeros como Paula y Alberto, una pareja que eligió celebrar el amor y su 10 aniversario en el lugar más romántico del mundo, Marrakech.
La sesión de fotos en pareja de Paula y Alberto fue muy emocionante. Ellos destilan amor y les sobra complicidad y fue un honor poder capturar un trocito de su historia de amor en Marruecos. Ellos volaron desde España hasta Marrakech donde yo les esperaba para celebrar su aniversario de boda con Marrakech a sus pies. Elegimos como escenario el Riad Yasmine, su ambiente relajado, bohemio y su decoración ecléctica era el oasis perfecto para nuestra sesión de fotos.
